The dark finish on the base of this early twentieth century console table has been restored and refreshed to brighten and bring out the warm wood tones while leaving some of the crackling and patina. Not wanting the top to look completely new I removed the damaged finish without removing all of the original dye color. The top was sealed with oil based polyurethane for durability. At 60 inches long the table would work well behind a sofa, at an entry way or as a dining room server.
